Barion is an electronic payment service that allows you to pay conveniently and securely by credit card or with a prepaid balance in online shops, mobile apps or to your friends.
The service provider Barion Payment Zrt is an institution supervised by the National Bank of Hungary, licence number: H-EN-I-1064/2013.
Pay conveniently by credit card
To pay by credit card, you do not need to register, just enter your credit card number, expiry date and the CVC code on the back, as well as a valid email address.
However, once you register, you will never have to enter your card number at any Barion point of sale again, just enter your email address and password to pay. This is not only convenient, it also increases your security!
You can use it to pay:
your Mastercard or Maestro debit card
your Visa or Electron debit card
your Amex debit card
Pay conveniently without a bank card
If you don't have a debit card, you can use your pre-filled Barion balance to pay, which you can top up by bank transfer or cash deposit, or send money to your friends and business partners. In this case you can pay by entering your email address and password.
Free
There is and can be no surcharge for the customer for payment by credit card. Registration and the Barion mobile app, as well as receiving and sending money, are and will remain free. There is also no monthly fee.
Track your purchases
You can track your purchases with Barion apps, on the web or on your mobile. The free Barion wallet instantly displays all your purchases, even what you've bought. You can also manage your Barion balance and send or receive money here.
Safety first
Barion servers are protected by 2048-bit TLS encryption from Norton/Symantec/Verisign. Before making a payment, always check that you are entering your payment card details or password on Barion's secure server.Your browser will display a green light if the payment and payment site owner is Barion Payment Inc [EN]. Barion is PCI DSS certified, as required by the credit card companies, and is therefore entitled to process credit card data. The security of Barion servers is designed in accordance with the requirements of the Hungarian National Bank.

Our webshop will only be informed about the outcome of the transaction, the card details you provide will not be sent to us! Payment is possible on the Barion Smart Gateway interface by entering your card details or, for Barion wallet holders, by entering your own password, both in desktop and mobile browsers. This payment method does not require registration, you can register at the first payment, but this is optional. Both registration and use of the Barion wallet are free for you. Registration makes it convenient to use the system, no more entering your card details at the merchant or any other Barion acquirer. If you register, we recommend you also download the Barion app, which will give you a great user experience.
The steps to pay with Barion:
Select the product and add it to your cart!
In the Checkout, select the delivery method that suits you, then select Barion for the payment method. Once you have chosen your payment method, click on the "Order" button after accepting the Terms and Conditions.
Payment by entering your credit card details:
This payment method is available to anyone who has a Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Electron or Amex debit card or credit card that can be used to pay online. To pay, you need your card details and an e-mail address. Barion registration is not required for payment, but the GTC must be accepted in all cases.
Payment by Barion wallet:
Payment with a stored bank card
This payment method is available to anyone who has a Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Electron or Amex credit card for online payments, a credit card and a valid Barion registration. The card details required for payment are stored on Barion's secure server, and an email address and password are required for payment. You can have more than one credit card in one Barion wallet.
Payment with a pre-filled Barion balance.
