Everyone is talking about AI these days. Conferences, podcasts and social media posts are all about how artificial intelligence is transforming work and business. In most cases, however, the discussion centres primarily on the theory.
The AI Demo Evening Budapest, on the other hand, offers something quite different.
Every month, the To Liftoff Coworkingn, in central Budapest, entrepreneurs, developers, marketing professionals and those interested in AI come together to showcase to one another the projects they have actually built using artificial intelligence. They are not discussing ideas for the future, but working solutions.
Where AI becomes a reality
What makes this evening special is that there are no sponsors, no long keynote speeches and no PowerPoint presentations lasting several hours on the future of AI.
Instead, 5–6 participants will present their own projects, explaining what problem they solved, what tools they used, what obstacles they encountered and what results they achieved.
The organiser of the event, Dani Timár This is how he described the mission of AI Demo Night:
„There are so many things you can do with AI – essentially anything. And that’s exactly what I wanted to achieve: to make that ”anything’ somehow tangible, and to draw inspiration from each other’s work, ideas and solutions. AI is like a blank canvas: we can draw whatever we want on it.”
Dani is the Lupix its founder, where they develop AI-based automation and bespoke software solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises. Their aim is to help their clients save time, energy and costs through the use of intelligent processes.
Three evenings, loads of inspiration
Three AI Demo Evenings have been held so far, and at each event 5–6 different projects were presented, with the speakers outlining their projects in 5-minute slots.
These topics clearly illustrate the many different ways in which artificial intelligence can be used today:
- automation of online shop stock management,
- Tabloid articles automatically generated from YouTube podcasts,
- AI-generated marketing videos and short films,
- AI-generated websites that form part of the entire sales funnel,
- various business automation solutions.
These were not prototypes or experiments, but solutions that the speakers already use on a daily basis in a live environment.
The AI State Prize has been awarded
One of the most popular parts of the evening is the audience vote, during which the „The AI State Prize has been awarded” the most inspiring presentation.
The winner of the first event Sebastián Győri (babybeet.hu) was the person who demonstrated how he had automated stock management for his online shop n8n, Slack and WooCommerce with the help of.
The winner of the third edition Balázs Dóra was the Tube Returns a project which Claude Code and Python It uses this to automatically analyse stock market recommendations made on YouTube.
Why is it worth coming?
Most participants don’t leave with a ready-made recipe, but with new ideas.
By the end of the evening, the question is no longer:
„What could we do with AI?”
but rather:
„How could I apply this to my own business?”
It is this change in mindset that keeps so many people coming back month after month. Each time, the speakers receive inspiring ideas and questions from the participants that can give their projects a further boost. Even if you’re just about to launch your first project, or you’ve only got an idea so far, you’ll still find people here who are keen to help by asking a few questions. .
